Direct Wonen Verhuur (Rental)
Direct Wonen Verhuur focuses on the market for private housing investors, with an estimated 615,000 homes and about 40,000 letting transactions. In this market, Direct Wonen has a share of about 20%. The rental housing market in The Netherlands consists of some 3.3 million rental dwellings, and can be divided into three categories: Housing corporations, institutional investors and private investors. There are significant opportunities to strengthen our position in the market of institutional investors and corporations.
Thanks to a cost-efficient and streamlined process, Direct Wonen is able to let the dwelling after 1 viewing in 46% of all transactions.
In 2007, the letting activities will be expanded further still in order to predominantly focus on the market of institutional investors. We will also study a number of locations for further expansion of our office network. Finally, the service towards subscribers will be broadened with a legal helpdesk and publication of a tenants’ almanac.
Direct Wonen Verkoop (sales)
Every year, 15 000 people register with Direct Wonen looking to buy a home. For this reason, Direct Wonen has also decided to aim at sales of homes. Here the focus is on sales of new building projects, whereby the project developer is offered a sales guarantee. Thanks to this expansion, we can better meet the needs of our target group. Sales of newly built homes also offers Direct Wonen the opportunity to make full use of its marketing and sales apparatus.
At the moment, Direct Wonen has a comfortable portfolio and pipeline of new building projects with construction planned to start in 2007 and 2008.
